The ALPINESTARS Tech-Air Street Vest is an unparalleled integrated airbag system that operates completely independently of the motorcycle, providing upper body protection in the event of a crash. It uses its own sensors and requires no physical or electronic connections between the rider and the bike, nor GPS. The system offers critical protection with full upper body coverage, being the first and only standalone airbag system globally to provide this level of safety. Key Features: 1. INDEPENDENT SENSORS: Requires no material or electronic connections between rider and bike. No GPS needed. 2. CRITICAL PROTECTION COVERAGE: The world’s first and only standalone airbag system featuring comprehensive upper body protection. 3. PRECISION IMPACT DETECTION: Detects impacts from collisions and loss of control with immediate precision. General Information: The vest offers extensive inflatable upper body protection covering the back, shoulders, kidney area, chest, and upper abdomen. It features a durable external material made from a mix of solid and resilient mesh textile and polyester fabric on the shoulders and upper body, ensuring a snug and secure fit that allows complete freedom of movement. The 3D mesh inner lining optimizes ventilation and breathability. The Tech-Air system uses an integrated certified lithium-ion battery with 25 hours of usage time and a 6-hour charging period. A micro USB charger allows convenient system recharging: a 1-hour charge provides 4 hours of ride coverage. The argon cartridges are ISO 14451 standard certified, ensuring they only activate when triggered by the electronic unit, making them safe to handle, mount, and transport. Tech-Air meets Category II requirements and is certified according to PPE Directive 89/686/EEC with a EN1621-2:2014 compliance, ensuring impact protection performance from 25 milliseconds up to 5 seconds. Proven to function at -10°C and +50°C, the system can be used in all weather conditions. Materials used include a combination of polyamide, polyester, and elastane for the external material and 100% polyester for the mesh inner lining.
