VERTEX 2-stroke pistons are cast using gravity casting from an aluminum alloy containing 18% silicon. The presence of silicon reduces thermal expansion at operating temperatures, making the piston less prone to rattling and breakage. Additionally, silicon imparts better wear properties to the pistons, significantly extending their lifespan. The kit includes the piston, piston ring(s), piston pin, and pin lock. VERTEX offers three piston variants for 2-stroke engines: Replica (standard OEM shape), Race (performance-enhancing design), and Pro Race (special forged piston). This particular product is a Replica type, matching the original form for reliable performance.
