VERTEX 2-stroke pistons are manufactured using gravity casting from an aluminum alloy with an 18% silicon content. The silicon reduces thermal expansion at operating temperatures, which provides the advantage of making the piston less prone to rattling and breakage. Additionally, silicon grants the pistons better wear resistance, thus extending their lifespan. The kit includes the piston complete with piston ring(s), piston pin, and piston pin lock. VERTEX offers three 2-stroke piston types: Replica (matches the original form), Race (performance-enhancing design), and Pro Race (forged special piston).
