TLD's Premium Motocross Helmet 'SE4' is equipped with a 13% thicker EPS layer (Expanded Polystyrene) and the MIPS® system, which optimally distributes and absorbs rotational forces during an impact, ensuring ultimate protection for the head. Safety: The MIPS® system reduces rotational forces on the brain in the event of a fall. It includes 13% more EPS in the frontal forehead area and 8% more EPS in the upper and rear parietal areas compared to its closest competitors. Plastic visor screws and brass inserts allow for easy breakaway during an impact. The EPS extends to the lower back of the head for enhanced protection. It features anatomically 3D-shaped, close-fitting cheek pads with an emergency release system. The helmet is equipped with a stainless steel double D-ring closure and exceeds the requirements of Snell M2015, DOT FMVSS 218, ECE 22.05, and AS/NZS 1698 standards. Construction: The helmet boasts a technologically advanced composite shell structure, with three separate EPS layers that feature density specifically tuned for different impact speeds. It also includes chin padding made of expanded polypropylene (EPP) for multiple impact performance, TLD comfort head padding, and a removable, washable 'Snap-In' comfort liner made from moisture-wicking CoolMax™ and Dri-Lex™ materials. The helmet weighs 1,500 grams (+/- 50 grams). Ventilation: This helmet features a highly breathable intake system with 16 intake ports and 6 large rear exhaust ports. Massive airflow channels use negative pressure to draw warm air away from the rider's head, offering significant cooling benefits, which is a significant advantage in warm riding conditions. Fit: With three shell sizes, the SE4 fits various head sizes and age groups better, thereby enhancing overall safety.
