The SPRINT Gear from TROY LEE DESIGNS is in a league of its own, much like the multitude of victories it's secured in downhill and BMX racing over the years. Now, it returns with significant updates that will certainly challenge the competition. This season, the focus was on the fit and feel of the gear while riding, which led to redesigned cut and kink areas, as well as the use of lighter yet more durable materials for the pants. All these enhancements make the SPRINT Gear even more race-ready. Composed of 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex®, the fabric is both lightweight and robust. The newly designed knee area offers a sleeker profile without compromising protection, while also allowing greater flexibility for improved movement and pedaling. More durable stretch material in the thigh and seat areas provides extra abrasion resistance in case of a fall. Optimized mesh inserts along the calves increase mobility and ventilation. Increased resistance to chain friction is ensured by a sonic-welded, heat-resistant patch located on the right ankle area. New side waistband adjusters with Velcro closures are integrated into the waistband for quick and subtle fitting adjustments. The zipper pull construction keeps debris out, while a flat TLD snap button with Velcro ensures a secure closure without unnecessary bulk. Two strategically placed zippered pockets—one on the upper left leg and another on the lower right thigh—add to the utility. The tapered lower leg design keeps the pants clear of chains and seat stays. The race-ready fit is designed to accommodate base layers and knee protectors while ensuring maximum freedom of movement and pedaling efficiency. The fabric is Bluesign® certified, guaranteeing its adherence to the highest environmental standards.
