With the D2 and D3 MTB helmets, Troy Lee Designs has already proven that technology, safety, and aesthetic design are not mutually exclusive. With the new D4 Composite, Troy Lee reaffirms this philosophy once more! Developed and constructed with aerospace-grade shell design and materials, the weight of the D4 Composite helmet has been reduced to 1050 grams without sacrificing strength and stability. It is, of course, equipped with the MIPS® Brain Protection System—a low-friction layer integrated into the helmet that reduces rotational motion to the brain during angled impacts to the head. For superior airflow, the D4 Composite channels cool air through 20 high-flow air vents and then pushes it through air channels to keep your head cool while you're racing down the trail. The washable quick-release XT2-3D cheek pads and X-Static/XT2 headliner ensure an optimal fit and highest comfort. A stylish soft TLD drawstring helmet bag is included for the transportation and protection of the helmet.
