Visor Cleaner - There are special visor cleaners available that can also be used for cleaning the entire helmet. However, be cautious not to use too much to avoid potential damage to the rubber and plastic parts. Drying - To dry the visor and avoid unwanted streaks, a lint-free, fine microfiber cloth should be used. Scratches - Under no circumstances should the visor be wiped 'just like that' with motorcycle gloves or other unsuitable or dirty objects! This can lead to scratches, especially on coated visors. If a visor has significant scratches, it is advisable to replace it. Scratches not only accelerate the aging process of the visor but can also pose a safety risk, especially in the field of vision. Mirror-coated visors are particularly prone to scratches and can cause unwanted glare if handled carelessly. Plasticizers - Visors contain so-called plasticizers that evaporate over the years, a process accelerated by frequent use and UV exposure. This results in the visor losing its flexibility, and in the event of an accident, it could shatter and cause severe cuts to the face. Replacement - The visor should be replaced after a maximum of five years.
