Cleaning - Just like with the helmet, the visor should be cleaned using lukewarm water with a bit of liquid soap. The concentration and aggressiveness of the soap should not be too strong, as it can accumulate under the plastic parts and cause damage. Visor Cleaner - There are special visor cleaners that can also be used for cleaning the entire helmet. Here too, you should not use too much to avoid potential damage to the rubber and plastic parts. Drying - To subsequently dry the visor and avoid unwanted streaks, a lint-free, fine microfiber cloth should be used. Scratches - Under no circumstances should you quickly wipe the visor with your motorcycle glove or other unsuitable or dirty objects! This can especially lead to scratches on coated visors. If a visor has significant scratches, it is recommended to replace it. Scratched visors accelerate the aging process and pose a safety risk, particularly if scratches are in the field of vision. Mirrored visors are especially susceptible to scratches and can cause unwanted glares if not handled with care. Plasticizers - Visors contain plasticizers, which evaporate over the years, and this is further accelerated by frequent use and UV exposure. As a result, the visor loses its flexibility and, in the event of an accident, may shatter, causing severe facial cuts. Replacement - The visor should be replaced no later than five years.
