VERTEX 2-stroke pistons are cast using gravity casting from an aluminum alloy with 18% silicon content. Silicon reduces thermal expansion at operating temperatures, resulting in a piston that is less prone to knocking and breakage. Additionally, silicon provides better wear characteristics, prolonging the piston’s lifespan. The piston kit includes the piston itself, piston ring(s), piston pin, and piston pin circlip. VERTEX offers three types of 2-stroke pistons: Replica (matches the original form), Race (performance-enhancing design), and Pro Race (forged specialty piston).
