VERTEX 2-stroke pistons are gravity cast from an aluminum alloy with an 18% silicon content. The silicon reduces thermal expansion at operating temperatures, which makes the piston less susceptible to knocking and fracture damage. Additionally, silicon enhances the wear characteristics of the pistons, thereby extending their lifespan. The kit includes the piston, piston ring(s), piston pin, and piston pin clips.
