VERTEX 2-stroke pistons are produced using a gravity casting process with an aluminum alloy containing 18% silicon. The inclusion of silicon reduces thermal expansion at operating temperatures, which minimizes the risk of piston clatter and fracture damage. Additionally, silicon enhances the wear resistance of the piston, thereby extending its lifespan. Each piston kit comes complete with piston ring(s), piston pin, and piston pin lock. The available 2-stroke piston types are as follows: Replica, which matches the original shape; Race, which is designed for performance enhancement; and Pro Race, a forged specialty piston.
