VERTEX 2-stroke pistons are gravity-cast from an aluminum alloy containing 18% silicon. The silicon content helps reduce thermal expansion at operating temperatures, which minimizes piston slap and the risk of fractures. Moreover, silicon enhances wear resistance, thereby extending the piston's lifespan. This kit includes the piston, piston rings, piston pin, and circlips. Available in three configurations for 2-stroke engines: Replica (original shape), Race (performance-enhanced), and Pro Race (forged specialty piston).
