The VERTEX Race Evolution piston is specifically designed for racing use and is the ultimate performance weapon among all pistons. VERTEX 2-stroke pistons are gravity-cast from an aluminum alloy containing 18% silicon. The silicon reduces thermal expansion at operating temperature. This has the advantage of making the piston less prone to chatter and breakage. Silicon also provides better wear characteristics, thereby extending the piston’s lifespan. The VERTEX TopEnd piston kits include everything needed for a piston replacement (piston, piston rings, piston pin bearing, circlips, etc.). VERTEX is an original equipment manufacturer for some of the largest motorcycle producers, and many factory teams in the MXGP rely on VERTEX’s performance.
