VERTEX 2-stroke pistons are cast using a gravity casting process from an aluminum alloy containing 18% silicon. The silicon component reduces thermal expansion at operating temperatures, which decreases the likelihood of piston clatter and the risk of fracturing. Additionally, silicon imparts enhanced wear resistance to the pistons, thereby extending their lifespan. The kit includes the piston, piston ring(s), piston pin, and piston pin clips. Piston types for 2-stroke: Replica = piston matches the original design, Race = performance-enhancing piston design, Pro Race = forged special piston.
