VERTEX 2-stroke pistons are cast using a gravity casting process from an aluminum alloy containing 18% silicon. This silicon content helps reduce thermal expansion at operating temperatures. The benefit of this is that the piston becomes less prone to rattling and breaking. Additionally, silicon imparts better wear properties to the piston, thereby extending its life. The piston kit includes piston rings, piston pin, and piston pin clips. Available in 2-stroke variants: Replica (piston matches the original form), Race (performance-enhancing piston design), and Pro Race (forged special piston).
