VERTEX 2-Stroke Pistons are produced using gravity casting from an aluminum alloy containing 18% silicon. The presence of silicon reduces thermal expansion at operating temperature, which minimizes the risk of piston slap and damage. Silicon also improves the wear resistance characteristics of the pistons, thereby extending their lifespan. The piston kit includes a piston ring(s), piston pin, and circlips. Piston types for 2-stroke engines: Replica – the piston matches the original form, Race – performance-enhancing piston design, Pro Race – forged special piston.
