VERTEX 2-stroke pistons are gravity cast from an aluminum alloy with 18% silicon content. The silicon reduces thermal expansion at operating temperature, which minimizes piston knock and reduces the risk of breakage. Additionally, silicon provides the pistons with better wear resistance, ultimately extending the piston’s lifespan. The kit includes a piston, piston ring(s), piston pin, and piston pin locks. VERTEX offers three piston variants for 2-stroke engines: Replica (original form), Race (performance-enhancing design), and Pro Race (forged specialty piston).
